What is your journey into the performing arts?

My journey into the performing arts is heavily influenced by my surroundings as a child. My dad worked as Chief LX at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow, where he met my mum who was a dancer and now actress. Their involvement naturally engaged me with the creative world from an early age. This led to an intuitive interest in film and theatre that led me to wanting to explore all areas of performing, specifically dance and acting.

Pick three words to describe yourself.

BOLD. LOVING. FUN

What advice would you give to the young people at The Dance School of Scotland?

Be open to it all! Try not to box yourself into one particular thing. I think the key to embracing your own unique success is remaining mindfully versatile in an ever changing industry. The most powerful thing you posses is your voice and your individuality.

Podcast – Audiobook – Music: Which do you prefer and what is your go too on that platform.

Music! I listen to most genres. Mariah Carey is big for me, so I love R’n’B, 70s/80s dance and house music.

What can you not live without in the theatre?

I wouldn’t say there’s one specific thing I need. I’m quite low maintenance. Snacks maybe?

The topics of Feminism and LGBTQ+ rights. Activism in those specific areas.

Describe your perfect day off?

A warm bath and walking round the Westend of Glasgow, seeing friends.
